This recipe takes pie to a whole new level. Whoever thought about mixing pie and chocolate, GENIUS! It's rich, creamy and Delicious, every chocolate lovers dream! Put a dollop of whipped cream on top and you got yourself the perfect dessert! How could you go wrong with CHOCOLATE, CHOCOLATE, CHOCOLATE!
Chocolate Mousse Pie
This chocolate mousse pie with an Oreo crust, is so light, dense and fantastic. This fluffy chocolate filling goes so nice with the crumbly chocolate crust. It is so easy and perfect to make ahead of time and keep it in the fridge to pull out for dinner. There will be no leftovers when you introduce this rich and chocolaty mousse pie to friends and family!

INGREDIENTS

1 cup Oreo cookie crumbs
1/3 cup baking cocoa
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup butter/ margarine, melted
2 1/4 cups semi-sweet chocolate morsels, divided (2cups and 1/4 cup)
2 cups whipping cream, divided (3/4 cup and 1 1/4 cups), see substitution page
2 teaspoons powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 350F
2. Combine Oreo cookie crumbs, cocoa and granulated sugar in 9-inch pie plate. Stir in butter/ margarine until moistened; press onto bottom and up side of pie plate.
3. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Sprinkle 1/4 cup morsels over bottom of hot crust; let stand for 10 minutes or until all morsels are shiny. Spread chocolate over bottom and up side of crust. cool to room temperature.
4. On low heat melt 2 cups of morsels and 3/4 cup cream in a sauce pan, stir consistently. Cool to room temperature.
5. Beat remaining whipping cream, powdered sugar and vanilla extract in chilled small mixer bowl until soft peaks form. Fold 2 cups whipped cream into chocolate mixture. Spoon into crust; swirl top. Garnish with remaining whipped cream. Refrigerate until firm.
